Commissioning Portal
Building Management Software for equipment configuration & site monitoring.
Context
This commissioning portal enables the configuration of site equipment as well as the monitoring of building data.
To enhance the interface, a comprehensive study was conducted with the objective of simplifying the navigation within this complex portal.
An assessment of existing pain points was performed, leading to a complete overhaul of the information architecture. The task flows were reimagined to create a more intuitive user experience, while new features were developed from the ground up and seamlessly integrated into this all-encompassing portal.

Discovery
Discovery workshops were conducted with various stakeholders to understand the problem and address users’ goals. The previous tool was analyzed to pinpoint its shortcomings and identify the frustrations it caused.
Information Architecture & Navigation
In order to design a robust information architecture, an inventory & a priorization of features was carried out leading to the creation of a brand new sitemap & content organization.
Wireframes
The new user flows were validated using low-fidelity wireframes. To facilitate completion, the entire commissioning process has been divided into several stages.
